Inside Job is a San Diego–based decorating and consulting studio, helping you create spaces that reflect your style, your story.

Together, we’ll reimagine your space—deciding what still works and thoughtfully letting go of what doesn’t. By reusing and reimagining, we design spaces that feel renewed yet familiar.

We believe decorating truly is an inside job. Your home is your personal setting. How things feel is just as important as how they look. More often than not, it’s the small, meaningful touches that make a space feel special and memorable.

We thoughtfully edit, rearrange and style your existing furniture and décor—discovering new uses for favorite pieces, relocating them to unexpected spaces, or reframing them with a fresh perspective.

From there, we focus on the final layers—the elements that elevate a room from simply finished to meaningful. Textures are layered, art is placed with intention and shelves and surfaces are styled with collected treasures and accessories. 

Finally, we balance everything with thoughtful lighting—the true magic trick of every room.

Getting Started

What to Expect when Working with Inside Job

No two homes - or projects - are the same. That’s why pricing depends entirely on your project goals and scope.

Step 1: Consultation Session

We begin with an in-home Consultation Session where we walk through your space, discuss your goals and priorities, and explore possibilities. You’ll receive verbal recommendations during our time together, followed by a recap email outlining next steps.

Step 2: Proposal & Planning

Based on our consultation, we’ll recommend the best service option for your needs and provide a clear proposal outlining scope, timeline, and investment.

Step 3: Refreshing & Styling

This is where the transformation happens. We edit, rearrange, and restyle your space—layering textures, placing art, refining lighting, and elevating the details that make a room feel finished and personal.

Every project begins with a Discovery Call -we’ll talk about your space, your style and your priorities. After your initial discovery call, we’ll schedule a 60-minute in-person consultation ($175), applied toward your project should we move forward together.

Reimagining Begins with what’s Already Yours

The act of reimagining might include editing, rearranging and repositioning - which allows for new possibilities to be seen.

  • Together, we’ll evaluate your space, and identify what piece, or pieces you’d like to build the space around. Then we’ll take inventory, deciding what stays and what goes - reimagining what can be repurposed and then layering in select details to create a polished, refreshed whole.

  • Furniture and décor find new purpose when placed in fresh settings.

    We focus on what matters most to you—the treasures of your space, the pieces you love—and build from there.

A Love Letter to
The Art of Home

Inside Job is more than just a decorating business—it’s the next chapter in a lifelong love affair with decorating. On my birthday last year, I decided to turn that passion into my career, one that celebrates The Art of Home.

Decorating is part of my DNA. As a child, I was forever rearranging my bedroom; as an adult, whenever I want to feel inspired—or simply have fun—I decorate. Whether it’s refreshing my own space or helping friends and family bring their homes to life, design has always been my language.

My mom, Chick—the original decorator and our family’s creative beacon—set the tone early. Even at 86, her home remains so beautifully styled that the building’s management showcases it to prospective buyers. She’s proof that a well-loved home never goes out of style.

While Inside Job is a new venture, it’s the culmination of my years spent practicing the art of heart and home. My mission is simple: to make decorating joyful, personal, and approachable—an experience that reflects who you are and how you live.
